CURE

Kelly has a very special connection to CURE. Our CEO went on a mission trip and met a young boy who desperately needed surgery to live a typical life. Over several years, he helped the young boy receive 5 surgeries in central America through CURE. Today, the boy is a typical functioning adult, and our CEO is forever impacted. He later served on CURE’s board of directors. This organization is so dear to our hearts for the groundbreaking work they are doing for children and the mission they are moving.

Luke 9:2 tells us that Jesus ‘sent them out to heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God.’ In response, CURE’s mission is to reach and heal more children living with disabilities like clubfoot, bowed legs, cleft lips, untreated burns, and hydrocephalus. We do this through a global network of pediatric surgical hospitals that serve children.

Since 1998, CURE has seen…

  • 5.3 million Patient Visits
  • 330,000 Surgical Procedures Performed
  • 250,000 Decisions for Christ

Many kids wait 10-15 years for surgery for treatable conditions. Even a hundred dollars to raise is an insurmountable sum for someone who has no means to make an income. That’s why CURE has moved to a fully funded model of care, meaning families that come to their hospitals pay nothing. That’s hope!

Every child helped means he or she has the ability to go to school or get a job and contribute to their family and have a livelihood when they grow up. This work is life-changing!

And the best thing – CURE hospitals share the Gospel and see thousands of children and adults come to know Jesus personally each year. This work is eternal!
