Kelly Products Promotes Rachel Shoemake to Director of Marketing

>>Other new hires for E-Commerce Manager; Marketing Manager, Food & Wellness; and Social Media Manager

Kelly Products (KPI), a leading provider of essential products and business services for the agribusiness and regulated industry, announced that Rachel Shoemake has been promoted to director of marketing. Shoemake was hired as Kelly’s social media marketing manager in early 2020. Shoemake reports to the vice president of marketing.

“Rachel has been a dynamo since her first day, always striving for more. She is a people person who consistently builds excellent rapport with her co-workers, and is adept at problem solving, said Laura Rotroff, vice president, Marketing & Communications. “Early on, Rachel showed promise for an expanded role outside of social media, and I am so glad this transition aligns with her career goals. Rachel is a real asset to our marketing department, and I look forward to seeing her management abilities continue to grow.”

Shoemake joined KPI in April of 2021 as the social media marketing manager tasked with expanding the Kelly companies further into their markets with the development of a robust social media program. In her time at Kelly, Shoemake has implemented social and email marketing strategies and processes, helped improve brand voice consistencies across the digital space, and is working to develop and strengthen KPI brand strategies and marketing processes.

This promotion aligns with Kelly’s philosophy to grow and expand its talent base from within.

“Our goal is to hire, retain and grow talent from within our ranks, whenever possible. There’s something incredibly rewarding about being able to nurture an employee and see them grow their capabilities and, in turn, be able to step into a management role. Our motivations for our team members are to help them grow professionally and personally, whether it be at Kelly or elsewhere. We are so pleased for Rachel and see a bright future for her,” said Keith Kelly, CEO, Kelly Products.

Shoemake’s promotion is part of a larger re-organization of Kelly’s corporate marketing division.

“As our brand portfolio grows, so our team must grow also. We are structuring marketing to support our verticals in Business, Outdoor and Food & Wellness,” said Rotroff.

Other recent marketing department hires include Sara Porch, e-commerce manager, overseeing all Kelly’s e-commerce brand sites. Joshua Alexander was hired as the new marketing manager of Food & Wellness. Alexander formerly worked at Farmview Market, a division of Kelly Products.

Makenzie Couch was hired as Kelly’s new social media marketing manager to fill Shoemake’s post. Couch also comes to Kelly’s corporate office from Farmview Market.

Both Alexander and Couch will report to Shoemake.

“You hear organizations talk about growth but getting to experience it first-hand at a company that is always doing things the right way is incredible. I’ve been blessed to work under Laura’s guidance and alongside some of the most kindhearted and brilliant people who drive me to be better, supporting me along the way,” said Shoemake, director of Marketing. “Everything we’ve done and are working towards in the coming years is by no accident—the time, effort, and care that our teams put into their work makes this transition into my new role that much more meaningful.”
